Jennifer is what you would call a “traditional” singer I know it has been so long that we have heard or even seen one of those especially in urban music that it is a shock to my system, but it is a welcome shock.

Chris did a great deal of writing on this album which is outstanding compared to his peers who can’t write for jack and would probably end up going all Rebecca Black on a cd if they tried

To understand the scope and influence of his career one must look at his discography his guest appearances alone changed average songs into certified hits for artist on the east and west coasts.

Getting back to the point of all this Shaolin vs Wu-Tang feels good but it sounds better. If you wanted a bridge into the reason why I care about the 90s and early 2000 this is it.

So here is the conundrum, if this album is successful is it because Lupe is such an amazing artist , or is it because Atlantic tinkered inquiring minds want to know

Musically the album is a mix of samples and electronic keyboards that work sometimes and fail at others, but overall it somehow pulled me in which is very crafty if you ask me.

even with Puff showboating in the background and wailing his arms for attention the album is decent, the songs are catchy, and some of the beats are good/great even.

There is one stand out song called I don’t know why, but I do and it is freaking beautiful. That single song encompasses the feelings and joy I get from hearing Chrisette Michele sing

New Music from Snoop Dogg, the song is called wet and this is the definition of phoning it in I swear to God Snoop Dogg didn’t even get out of bed for this song.
